Cocktails, Charms and Afternoon Tea

Easter weekendAs soon as Christmas is over the countdown until Easter weekend begins… I didn’t have anything planned but I was soo excited to have two extra days off and do nothing but relax.

It was my friends 21st birthday on Thursday so we went for afternoon tea on Friday. It’s very rare I have afternoon tea so it’s always such a nice treat. We got the usual sandwiches and scones and lots of delicious cakes, but it wasn’t enough food for us so we got some salt & pepper chips to go with it. I know that’s a really random addition to an afternoon tea but we were all craving s&p chips. Afterwards, we made our way to a cocktail bar where we drank cocktails all afternoon and had a good catch up. Later on I had a dinner date with Sean’s sisters at an Italian restaurant where I managed a dish of Pasta Salmone which I did not need after Afternoon Tea. Once again, we made our way to a cocktail bar where we drank more cocktails and I had another catch up with another group of girls. My days are very very rarely this busy and I can’t remember the last time I drank alcohol so Saturday was a duvet day.

On Sunday Sean and I got up extra early ready for a drive up to Ambleside to take Albert exploring. It was a disaster! Albert got travel sick and somehow managed to get his leg wrapped round his lead which resulted in us having to cut him free. So after purchasing him a new lead, we took him for a little walk from Brathay to Ambleside where it began to hail stone uncontrollably so we gave up on the day and drove home. Sean still managed to make the day a special one by popping into the Pandora shop on the way home to collect the house charm which he had ordered for my bracelet… such a cutie.

After a chilled out Monday spending time with family, I prepared myself for back to work. We had a great weekend and we haven’t even started on the chocolate yet so it can only get better.

How did you spend your bank holiday weekend?
