A WEEK ON THE OCEANA

imageimageimage

I never ever thought I’d find myself cruising, it was just something I never thought I would do, stereotypically it’s not a common holiday for young people. Saying that I have always wanted to go to Italy and visit a lot of places and instead of having to pack up all our things and get on another plane/coach/train to see all the destinations on my bucket list, cruisin’ has proven such a hassle free way of doing this.

Most importantly the food is incredible, the staff are outstanding and the entertainment/activities are surprisingly so much fun, we’ve played bingo, watched comedians and listened to amazing singers.

In fact we’ve enjoyed ourselves so much we’re planning our next cruise hopefully around the Caribbean!!

Have you ever been on a cruise?

MAC MIND CONTROL

image

imageBack in my teenage years I featured a bright lipstick almost every single day, often even to sixth form. Over the past year or two since starting my office job and the whole craze over the ‘Kylie Jenner’ nudes, I very rarely reach for my bright lip colours anymore.

Recently with the lovely weather approaching I have been wanting to change up my makeup and add some bright lips into the mix, my lovely boyfriend noticed and very very kindly got me a lipstick from the Brooke Candy collection by mac in the shade ‘Mind Control’.

This is a beautiful shade, unlike any other I own, it’s a fusia toned red with an amplified finish. I usually love amplified finishes but I find with this lipstick it is a lot more creamy than other amplified lipsticks I have tried so I felt the lasting power is not as good as it could be. This isn’t a massive problem for me though because I am quite happy to reapply lipstick throughout the day but it’s something to consider if you’re thinking about picking it up.

Overall, the colour is beautiful and perfect as a bright shade for summer & I am almost sure I’ll be sporting this shade all throughout summer.

What do you think of this shade?

POMPEI IN A DAY

Landing in Naples Sean and I new that Pompei was one place we wanted to visit whilst there. We went at 1.30pm so we didn’t have to worry too much about getting up and having breakfast at the crack of dawn… after all we’re on our holidays. It took us roughly 30 mins from the boat at Naples to get to Pompei so when we got their we grabbed some lunch, I went for a seafood pasta before heading into the ruins.image image

The ruins were absolutely incredible, it’s such a beautiful place with such amazing views and it’s unbelievable to think what has happened there. It’s a lot lot larger than I thought it would be and as we only had a couple of hours to explore we barely scratched the surface, I think a good couple of days would be enough to explore the whole of Pompei.

Have you ever been to the ruins in Pompei?

BLOG GOALS

imageI set up my little space on the Internet a good few years a go and I’ve loved it but over the last couple of months it’s become one of my top priorities purely because it’s something I love so much. With something anyone really enjoys doing they always want to improve it and this is exactly how I feel about my blog. Although I’m fairly happy with where I am at the moment, of course I want to improve as much as possible, so a couple of things that I’m concentrating on at the moment are…

– Continuing to post consistently
For the last couple of months I have been posting on my blog twice a week Tuesday at 6pm and Sunday at 10am which has been perfect for my lifestyle because I work full time and I’m also doing a part time degree which is very time consuming. I really want to continue posting twice a week on those days and in future add an extra post to the weekly schedule.

-Improve photography
I’ve recently purchased the blogging camera of all blogging cameras… the Olympus Pen E-PL7 and I’m absolutely in love! So, of course I really want to learn how to use it properly and improve my photography skills. Fortunately, my dad who is a photographer is always willing to come out with his camera with me and show me a thing or two.

-Introduce projects on the blog
I’ve got so many ideas of ‘series’ type posts that I really want to put my time and effort into and get creative with. They’re the sort of posts I love to read and that’s the content I want to create!!

Is there anything you would love to see on my blog?
